Re: New trailer for Pixar's UP!

It still bothers me that they show the house going up with nobody on the porch, then suddenly the little kid os on there. I just want to know where he is beforehand... it kinda bugs me that they don't show it.

Looks fun! The dog was my favorite part of the trailer.

It's on the Up official website.

    Spoiler
Carl sent Russ on a Snipe Hunt, and when he took up, Russ was under the house chasing what he thinks is a snipe but turns out is a large mouse.

ok... how does he get from under the house (how does he even stay hanging on?) to the porch without falling? idk it just doesn't make sense to me. That hosue should be going pretty fast????

This movie still doesn't look that good to me - but I am sure that, like all of the other Pixar except wall-e, I'll end up liking it.

A Wilderness Explore is always prepared!

Wait, is that the slogan of the boy scouts or not? There was never a scouts program where I grew up when I was Russ's age.

Ha ha I think the animal calling trailer is the best!! Even though it doesn't have that funny dog! What's great, is when I was a kid I thought I could create a collar like that. lol Anyways, long story short, I can't flippin' wait for this movie!!! :]

Hmmm well without discussing anything in your spoiler, I really don't think this movie is going for realism. And that's what I like about it. I'm sure that after we see the actual movie it will become clear how Russell gets on the porch, whether it is realistic or not.

I agree with the previous poster about the heaviness of Wall-e. Wall-e and Ratatouille, being two of my favorite movies, were admittedly both fairly light on the laughs and it is nice to see Pixar returning to something a bit lighter and more funny. I think this movie is going to appeal to alot of people, especially considering the current economic climate and problems in the world. It looks like an excellent escape, and of course it's Pixar. I am very excited for this movie.

Edit: Oops, my mistake. I meant to quote Neverneverland. Carry on.

Re: New trailer for Pixar's UP!

Oh yeah, they are definately not going for realism there. I'm just waiting for the Mythbusters episode where they TRY to lift a house off the ground with two people on it using nothing but commercially available balloons.

I'm still curious about the Kirk Douglas look alike and what role he has. Obviously he's responsible for the talking dog collars.

Honestly, I don't think that i'll enjoy UP. I wasn't a fan of Docter's last creation Monsters Inc., and I don't think the concept is that good either. The trailer was cool, but I'll be waiting for the DVD.
