Warner Bros. and New Line will release "Sex and the City 2" in theaters on May 28, 2010.

Film sequel director-writer Michael Patrick King reteams with his four leading ladies--Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis.

John Melfi returns to produce with King and Parker.

"Sex 2" bows in the same slot that "Sex and the City" did in 2008.

The bigscreen adapation of the hit HBO series was a runaway box office hit, opening to $57 million on its way to cuming $152.6 million domestically. Pic made an even stronger showing overseas, grossing $260 million at the international box office for a worldwide total of $412.6 million.

I love SATC, but what on earth are they going to do for a plot? The first movie kind of wound things up for me. Each character had an appropriate ending. I hope they don't jump the shark with this one!

I am kind of on-the-fence about this. I am a huge SATC fan but I am just wondering what they are going to do for a second movei, I wonder if there is enough material left to work with.

Does everything come to a stand still in the lives of the people you know after a certain point?

They've always had so much drama to work with over the years, and the movie didn't just rest on those elements. You don't score a massive worldwide hit on cruise control with a film starring four women - all over the age of 30.

Gotta have faith in the writer/director to take them to the next 50.

Well, Big is on board for the sequel so that could very well happen!!

Considering the first screen outing sucked so hard (don't get me wrong, I LOVED the show, but the movie was obnoxiously slow, not very funny, and at least an hour too long). I'll probably end up watching it in 1.5 speed once it comes out on Blu-ray, but hell no to the theater experience.
