terrible news, hope he went peacefully.
That is truly awful...he's been performing the voice for so long.
It's equally sad that Russi Taylor, the voice of Minnie Mouse, his wife, will now have to be performing as Minnie without her husband. That seems sad as well.

I met him once at an event in Northern California and he was such a nice guy.
It'll be so weird to hear the "new" Mickey voice.

I met him at an event at the El Capitan along with his wife. This is really sad.
Hope Disney does a good tribute to him!

Re: Wayne Allwine Wow. That's kind of shocking. He may have passed, but at least Mickey is alive and well.
was he the same person to do the voice since the beginning?
^^ Wanye Allwine has done Mickey since 83. Walt Disney himself voiced Mickey for the character's first 20 years or so, then other people took over.
