    Tim Burton's '9'

Whoops! Tim Burton isn't directing it, my mistake. Shane Ackner is. But Tim Burton is still producing it!

    Plot Summary:

When 9 (voice of Elijah Wood) first comes to life, he finds himself in a post-apocalyptic world where all humans are gone, and it is only by chance that he discovers a small community of others like him taking refuge from fearsome machines that roam the earth intent on their extinction. Despite being the neophyte of the group, 9 convinces the others that hiding will do them no good. They must take the offensive if they are to survive, and they must discover why the machines want to destroy them in the first place. As they'll soon come to learn, the very future of civilization may depend on them.
    Check out the awesome trailer: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDH0e73_j8M"]YouTube - '9' Trailer 2 HD[/ame]

This looks like it might be really, really good! The trailer already has me pumped for seeing it, I like this kind of dark-mechanical style, its something new and not usually seen in an animated film. In my opinion it probably has most originality of any other action movie I've seen this year, and has a bit of a steam-punk look to it that is rarely seen in movies that I favor. I highly doubt Shane Ackner is going to let us down with this one!

My bad, sorry! Misread the credits. Isn't Tim Burton producing it, though?

Saw this some time ago and was somewhat let down by it. The people i was with liked it but agreed with my thoughts about it. I wouldn't recommend going in thinking its going to be the best animated film.

This looks pretty good. It looks like a pretty dark animated film though, but it just goes to show you that animation is NOT just for children.

Saw the trailer before Harry Potter and it looks VERY interesting to me. Reminded me of the look of Coraline.
