I don't think it is meant as a banishment; Marvel just has so many branches it's a lot easier to find all the info in one place than having to search the theme park, movies, books, etc.
I am sure when info is announced relevant to those forums, threads on that particular topic will be more than welcome, but for now Disney Business is what the acquisition is. :)
