http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1809998233/video/16425316
DreamWorks Animation's 'How to Train Your Dragon' is coming to conventional and IMAX theaters on March 26 in 3D.
The adventure comedy is set in the mythical world of burly Vikings and wild dragons, based on the book by Cressida Cowell. The story centers around a Viking teenager, who lives on the island of Berk, where fighting dragons is a way of life. Initiation is coming, and this is his one chance to prove his worthiness to his tribe and father. But when he encounters, and ultimately befriends, an injured dragon, his world is turned upside down.
Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, America Ferrara, Jonah Hill, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Craig Ferguson, Kristen Wiig, and T.J. Miller voice the film, directed by Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois.
Chris & Dean were the co-directors of Disney's 'Lilo & Stitch', Sanders' next project at DreamWorks is 'Crood Awakening' or 'The Croods.'

I saw the trailer for this movie, and I'm excited to see this one! It looks extremely cute, and I LOVE the design for the dragon. This may be the next awesome Dreamworks movie! Pretty good, considering their last awesome one (Kung Fu Panda) was only two movies ago.
The trailer looks funny, the visuals look stunning & the storyline looks pretty good, I'm going to be seeing this when it comes out.
Sanders was pushed off of American Dog by Lasseter, resulting in his defection to DW. According to insiders, Lasseter did not like Lilo & Stitch, and apparently doesn't particularly like Sanders. Too bad for Disney.
The history behind this project is strange to say the least. It began at Aardman Animation as a stop motion film, with creative input from Monty Python members. In the latest Python documentary, you can see Michael Palin and Terry Jones travel by train to Aardman to check out the puppets that were to be used in the film's production.Sanders' next project at DreamWorks is 'Crood Awakening' or 'The Croods.'
John Cleese still remains as principal screenwriter for the project, even though the other Python members have no further input. Should be another solid film from Sanders.

I've seen some of Sanders' preliminary work for American Dog/Bolt, and it's pretty obvious why he was pulled off the picture. It was all pretty weird, and the dog wasn't the least likable. Lasseter did the right thing. Bolt was far more enjoyable than American Dog would have been, judging by what I saw.
As for Dragon...does Sanders have an obsession with Stitch? 'Cause the dragon has a Stitch-like head. And man...Maleficent he ain't! Ecchhh.
Oh!!!! It looks SO cute! My daughter will love this movie....she's obsessed with dragons. Only 6 yr in the world that would rather play with Dragons than Barbies. LOL. I've taught her well.
the lady still has a weird face. Looks like Coraline's "other mother".
Really, all that from a non-buttoned eyed profile?
Moving forward then and back to topic:
more at:The story originally skewed younger and was less bold and epic-like until Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois (Lilo & Stitch) took over as co-directors about halfway through. "Previous versions were heavily loyal to the book — sweet, whimsical and too small for Jeffrey's taste," says DeBlois, referring to studio chief Katzenberg.

Is it just me or does the dragon look and act a lot like Stitch?

An artist's signature style is a unique thing. Ever notice the similarities in everyone from Rembrandt to SHAG's work? From painting to painting they have the same or seemingly near the same persons and places depicted.
Chris Sanders brought his unique signature style from Disney to DWA.
