The San Jose Mercury News reports that about 200 Disneyland Hotel and Paradise Pier Hotel workers walked off the job Friday in protest over working conditions, citing a greater workload in newly renovated hotel rooms. According to the Mercury News:
The walkout lasted three hours. Disney reported that other hotel workers took over for the absent housekeeping staff and guest rooms were cleaned with no disruption to guests.The union says Disney's remodeled hotel rooms are harder to clean, but the resort didn't cut the number of rooms a housekeeper must clean in a day.
