Umbridge cast in Potter 5! Brit actress Imelda Staunton appeared on TV here in the UK yesterday and announced that she's been cast as Dolores Umbridge in the Order of The Phoenix. The movie that starts filming in Jan 06.
I think this is a great bit of casting - what do other MCers think?
(I know from other threads there was some great recommendations for casting future films...)

Ooh! This is a really good choice for Umbridge. She'll be perfect. She was also in 'Vera Drake' and 'Shakespeare in Love'. Wonderful actress.

Judi Dench would be good, but Imelda Staunton, I think, is a little shorter. I picture Umbridge as this little tiny woman. This is gonna be good!
And Cherny, I believe they are all doing 5. I do know that Jason Issacs has signed on for 5 though.

I have heard that all the "kids" have signed for the 5th movie but one. Rupert is grumbling about being typcast as Ron Weasly. A little late for that my boy. And what a change from when you got the part and were gushing about how you were Ron Weasly and had wanted this part so bad. Come on, you are in one of the biggest franchises ever. No matter what you do from now on, you will never escape being Ron Weasly, Harry Potter's best friend.

For some reason I pictured Umbridge to resemble Mrs. Puff from Spongebob...I don't know why....but I did.....
Not to mention Potter fans ( which are a HECK of a lot of people) will never forgive him!! Namely ME!
