Several months ago I went through my DVD collection and registered them to collect the disney rewards points.
Recently I logged into my rewards account and saw that the points I had entered previously were marked "expired". I read the terms of service and there was nothing mentioned about points expiring, so I emailed them and asked for the points back.
Today they got back to me :Under "My Account" it states that I have redeemed 650 points although I never did. The description of how they were redeemed is "Expired Points". There is no statement about points expiring on the web site. I did not do anything that would cause them to expire. I should be able to continue to collect or redeem points through July/August of 2010.
Please restore the points to my account.
Well, I never received this email they mention and the terms of service don't seems to say anything about points expiring except after the program ends as far as I can tell.Dear Jonathan,
Thank you for email. We are sorry to hear that you did not receive the email notification that your points would be expiring. We are happy to make a one time exception and reinstate your expired points.
For future reference, you can collect Disney Movie Rewards points from October 3, 2006 to January 31st, 2010. Disney Movie Rewards Points can be redeemed until February 28th, 2010.
Please note that Disney Movie Rewards points will expire when there has been nine (9) months of inactivity on your account. We define "inactivity" as not logging on to the site in the last nine (9) months.
