(I've never visited Disneyland Resort, Tokyo Disney Resort, Disneyland Resort Paris, nor Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, so don't be fooled when I pretend to know what I'm talking about. [But I'm pretty good with the information, if I do say so myself. And you can hit me all you want with Walt Disney World.])
The news was announced today at a beautiful "Celebration" of Roy E. Disney's life, held at the El Capitan theater.
In an ironic twist, Roy wasn't fond of the new animation building. He felt that it prevented people from wandering around and running into each other. However, it was Roy who was tributed with saving Disney animation and it is his passion and name which will adorn Disney's animation building. A very moving tribute which garnered long and loud applause from the audience.
I'm still a little teary eyed by this news. Roy will be deeply missed, but his name and high standards will live on.
