"Old Boy". Haven't seen it? Thank God! My roommate was like "You have to watch this Asian movie with me, it's amazing, you'll love it!" Next thing I know some old guy cuts out his own tongue and that's the okay part in the movie. Seriously I think I beat him up after I watched it. And I can't watch "Gone with the Wind." I get through about half of it and I need to turn it off because Scarlet needs to be smacked.
For me, it's any movie that get's praise heaped upon it when it's absolutely un-warranted. So movies like GI Joe or Bruckheimer/Bay movies don't bother me because you KNOW what you are getting. (well except for Transformers 2, that was REALLY bad)
It's the movies that people say are the greatest things ever and you watch them and they SUCK.
The movie that they call "Godzilla." I don't know what that abomination was, but it sure as heck wasn't Godzilla. I'm talking about the 1998 version with Matthew Broderick. To top it off, they had Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, or whatever he calls himself now, cover Kashmir by Led Zeppelin. Gah!

I'm gonna say Napoleon Dynamite. I wanted to see it in theaters but didn't end up catching it until it came out on DVD. I just kept thinking "what is this crap that I'm watching?!?!" it was NOT funny!!
I also hate Michael Bay and Roland Emmerich movies.
I finally watched The Mummy 3: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. That has to go on the list somewhere.
I agree with SirClinksalot...if the film has been hyped as a noble piece of filmmaking, then it's subject to an extra degree of scrutiny. If it's just escapist, action fare, I'm fine with that. Even action films can sink to a new level of low, however. See Mummy3 for an example.
