I had the opportunity to return to the Walt Disney Animation Studios this evening for an event and thought I'd share some photos here. They are of some of the production artwork that graces the walls and hallways of the newly renamed Roy E. Disney Animation Building.
They include visual development and background art from older films, some from under the sea, a little patch of heaven, Wonderland and more. Plus a dog named Bolt and WDAS's current Academy Award nominee, 'The Princess and the Frog'. Everyone is so very busy, you don't see them being able to take the time to enjoy the amazing work that surrounds them. They are too hard at work creating their own, soon to join these I expect.
I also had the chance to personally congratulate Ian Gooding and 'TPatF' co-director John Musker on their recent nominations, for the Annie Awards (Production Design in a Feature Production) and Academy Awards (Best Animated Feature) respectively. This is a great time of year!
and new stories and worlds being created here:
It was also thrilling to hear bits & pieces of the non-stop work being done on 'Rapunzel', the new 'Winnie the Pooh' film and a couple of other projects underway & in the works.
