Re: 2010 Disney Shareholder Meeting 3-10-10
One thing I wanted to mention from attending the meeting is that the running joke was people having problems finding the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country. Personally it wasn't in the GPS unit that I had. Good thing for the directions provided by Disney.

Umm, they LOVE Iron Man 2. It was obvious, from the clips included in the montage to showing the trailer. While they still have to work out the legal issues, Disney has plans.... I don't think anyone asked because the "park" question got answered. They don't have any other plans than Shanghai. And Dubai? Everyone is getting out while they can. I'd be surprised if any Dubai parks get built....that place is falling like a house of cards.

It's not just that but: Why Rich Ross as a replacement rather than someone more familuar with the film industry? Why sell Miramax now when they had an opportunity to sell it to the Weinstiens when Harvey left? Why release Christmas Carol on the heals of the important release of Princess and the Frog?
Really, ball dropped.

So if they have relinquished commercial exploitation of the picture, it should now be in the public domain?
Or maybe they could sell "only the right to release the film" (while retaining intellectual rights to content) might be a way to allow them to capture revenue without risking negative publicity.
