The Worst Movie Going Experiences You've Ever Had

Here are some of my worst movie theaters experiences.




Casino Royale, the reel decided to break right as the house starts sinking near the end of movie...so I was missed out on a good bit of fighting and Bond trying to save Vesper. When the movie came back up she was dead and Bond is weeping like a little girl


The Hangover was inaudible beyond belief then they cranked it up "WAY TOO ****ING LOUD!"


When I saw Charlie Wilson's War, my father kept griping about how boring it was and left the theater. He also complained about the Informant and Paranormal Activity.

"Good Burger" at an old mom & pop movie theater that is now closed, during the trailers the power went out for awhile and the ******* attendants waved flashlights around like they were having seizures.



Me and one of my friends were going to see Ghost Rider but they were sold out and we saw Norbit instead. I sat morbidly watching Eddie Murphy's career tank even further and ended up spilling coke on my good leather jacket.


Where The Wild Things Are, I was very disappointed. I was confused through the whole movie, I asked them to turn the volume up but apparently they didn't. All I could hear was the "woo woo" singing and the emo kids sitting behind me.

Now what are your insane movie going experiences?

I can't remember which movie it was, but the theater was filled with loud teenagers that wouldn't shut up, 10 minutes into the movie. Two police officers were called on to stand on each side of the screen the whole movie. It was very akward.

I went to the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix midnight premiere at my theater and two middle-aged men were fighting over seats when there were over a hundred others available. What made it worse was that the aggressor had his two children with him and not making a very good role model of himself.

i would have to say when i saw Batman Begins in theaters. it was at the downtown disney AMC, it wasn't too full, so my friends and i sat in the 4 "handicap" seats towards the top. they weren't being used, so hey, why not? through the entire movie, this little 5 year old boy kept running infront of our seats, right in our row. back and forth and back and forth, i look back and saw the family he belonged to, and of course they did NOTHING. they just let him run around the theater. not only that but they had a girl w/ them who was about 11 or so, and she kept going up stairs and down stairs through half of the movie, leaving the theater and then came back. for what?!?!? for what possible reason?!?! ugh, i was so annoyed with that family's kids. i should have said something but never did. at one point i stretched my legs out so the boy won't pass, he still pushed my legs and went through. ugh, i should have seen it at a 21+ screening.

My friends and I went to go see a midnight screening of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, back in July, along with, say, 1000 other people from my area.

I understand that some of the other theaters (in the megaplex) had technical difficulties- one even started playing The Proposal instead- but ours was going okay. That is, until 1:30 AM or so, when the fire alarm went off. I was the first one out the door, (we were in the third row,) and as I was waiting I heard several people behind us loudly drop the f-bomb and grumble and such. The rest of the night was the confused mob just milling back and forth in and out of the theaters, confused as to whether or not the movie would be restarting, until the employees gave everyone rain checks (basically, just post-it notes.) Some of my friends took several.

'Twas an adventure, but I don't know if I plan on going to the next midnight release like that.

This is a big reason I'm not too crazy about seeing movies at DTD. It is nice in a sense because the theatres are not usually too full, as everyone is at DL or DCA. But I don't care what the movie's rating is -- there seems to be an abnormally larger amount of children than at a theatre in another part of town.

The Blair Witch Project - I got extremely dizzy from the shaky camera work, had to go to the restroom to vomit about 15 to 20 minutes into the film and never went back into the theater to finish the film.

man, my experience is going to sound like nothing compared to all of yours..

Jim Carrey's "The Mask" - the film strip simply got burned by the lamp/bulb near the end (the story had not been fully resolved yet) and the movie stopped.. they tried to get another reel in as fast as they could.. but it took about 10 minutes and when they started it up again, they didn't start at where the previous reel left off.. it was at the credits..

Another Harry Potter story... Saw the recent 1 in theaters and this dude about 2 rows behind us was seriously sick. He kept coughing, sneezing, blowing his nose. It got really annoying.
