DreamWorks Ani shares down 6%

NEW YORK -- Shares of movie studio DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc. fell more than 6% Friday, a day after the company's quarterly results showed a weaker-than-expected domestic boxoffice performance for its film "Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit." The company, in results released Thursday, also cautioned that its fiscal 2005 net earnings would fall at the low end of its previously-forecast range of 80 cents to 90 cents per share. The company's stock was trading down $1.73 at $24.80 on the New York Stock Exchange. Analysts cited concerns about a Securities and Exchange Commission probe, the "Wallace & Gromit" results, and future DVD sales of its "Madagascar" film. (Reuters)
