Re: Star Wars 1-6 for Blu-Ray

I have reservations about buying this. Star Wars episode 4,5 and 6 were my favorite movies of all time. I just want the originals but if i need to have the lame tweaked ones that were released in the late nineties at least give me both versions. I am not interested in all 6 for 90 dollars

I just hope they replace that awful Yoda puppet from Episode 1 with the CGI version.

I *finally* have a reason to get a Blu-Ray player. Will definitely get all 6. The prequels aren't the greatest, but I watch them because of Ewan McGregor (*DROOL*). He could act the phone book and I'd happily fork over $20 to watch.

too bad all my VHS copies will never be worth anything... I even have one of the sets that is in the blue box set with a hologram on the cover, etc. Too many box sets of VHS tapes sitting in boxes in my basement...

Definitely buying it. Not just the OT but the PT as well, the PT is what got me into Star Wars and to succumb to all that destructive unhealthy hate out there would make me pity my own judgement. ROTS and ESB are the best SW movies and I cannot wait to see em in HD. Nine months do not come fast enough!!

Yes, way too many copies of these films myself, but I will somewhat reluctantly buy the set on Blu-Ray.

You mean that old character YODA isn't worth drooling over?

Some new scenes will be on the movies like Luke making lightsaber in Episode 6.

Re: Star Wars 1-6 for Blu-Ray

Oh, man, I got the Family Guy Star Wars trilogy last night in the mail and watched the first two last night. I don't watch Family Guy so this was my first time seeing them. The first was awesome!!! The second, not as much. But the best surprise was listening to select choices of John Williams' music from ANH. Brilliant experience and it made me that much more excited to get the SW Blu-rays! Having problems getting my PS3 and old, old receiver to play 5.1 surround sound, but one way or the other, it is getting fixed by September!!!!

if you haven't seen them.. check out the robot chicken versions too

The family guy ones go downhill.. the 3rd one was ok, not steller. But had a few good moments.
