Re: Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2

From the looks of the trailer, I better be sure and take a lot of kleenex with me to the movie theatre when I see Part 2.

I hope they don't try to turn it into 'Bad Boys' action flick... but I can't help but feel I wish the last movie was like another 4hrs long

feels like so much skipped over that I would love to see visualized and brought to life in the films

The trailer is awesome! I can't wait until the movie. And I already know I'm going to be a sniveling mess during the end (especially the scene with Ron, Fred, and George).

Re: Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2

I'm very excited & nervous. I want so badly to see the end, but it's just that... the end. And not to sound corny but Harry has been a part of my life for a long long time haha.

I hope that they have all the major scenes I want to see from the book, in the movie. I was hoping that part 2 would be longer, but I know no matter what It's going to be absolutely incredible.

So pumped, so excited. Counting down the days.

I'm already preparing myself for lots of tears.

    its gonna be awesome!

Anyone else gonna do a Harry Marathon? My wife and I are going to devote the weekend before DH2 comes out to watching the entire series from the beginning.

I only wish I had time to re-read the entire series before it comes out

Re: Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2

This isn't specifically Deathly Hallows related, but has anyone seen these pictures before?

They would be from Order of the Phoenix, but they aren't in the movie or deleted scenes.

3D ticket sales are low for this flick, guess the consumers are getting the hint, it's not even true 3D or...

'Green Lantern,' 'Harry Potter' 2D Ticket Sales Outpace 3D on Fandango (Analyst)

4:11 PM 6/17/2011 by Georg Szalai

    Warner Bros.
"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2"

"We continue to believe U.S. consumers are frustrated with the amount of 3D movies Hollywood is producing, especially when combined with excessive ticket prices," BTIG's Richard Greenfield says.

NEW YORK - 2D movie ticket sales on Fandango for Warner Bros. weekend release Green Lantern and the final installment of Harry Potter are outpacing 3D ticket sales in a possible latest sign of 3D fatigue, BTIG analyst Richard Greenfield said Friday.

He cited the live "top sellers" data on the Pulse section of Fandango’s iPad app, saying that the sales trends for the superhero movie come despite what he called a "massive 3D promotional push" for Green Lantern on Fandango, YouTube and elsewhere.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows: Part 2 ticket sales went on sale earlier this week, and 2D tickets are in the top 5 on the "top sellers" list, while 3D tickets are not, the analyst highlighted.
"We continue to believe U.S. consumers are frustrated with the amount of 3D movies Hollywood is producing, especially when combined with excessive ticket prices," Greenfield said.
"In addition, we suspect the darkness of 3D is starting to impact movie satisfaction (this was a key problem with Pirates 3D, with both Green Lantern and Potter starting off with darker imagery and then layering on 3D glasses that darken the images further)," Greenfield added, pointing out the disappointing performance of a range of recent 3D releases.

While the higher ticket prices of 3D could allow the 3D box office take to exceed 2D box office, "ticket sales are clearly skewing 2D," he concluded.

    Yes.

Anyone reading the book should know that this movie will look only a little like it. Some new stuff, but mainly cutting out what appears to be 40% of the story (mostly subplots that reinforce the main theme).
