Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2

Couple of days old but still new. One would think it would be longer...

Re: Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2

I saw Harry had his wand in his hand when he meets Voldemort in the Forbidden Forest. Maybe he hides it before ....

Again, someone's not reading the book, and some author is not caring enough to tell them how it should be.

It should be under his shirt with his Invisibility Cloak.

I see the Invisibility Cloak is difficult to convey on screen -- didn't use it for PoA (Snape picks it up to sneak up on the group in the Shrieking Shack); in GoF (uses it to get to Prefect's Bathroom with golden egg, gets caught by "Moody" while under it, but escapes Snape's detection); in HBP at the Lightning Struck Tower (Harry was supposed to be under the cloak before being immobilized by Dombledore). It's the antithesis of visual effect.

Glad we have a movie thread about a movie that is actually going to be good ... unlike that other movie with 5 gazillion posts in it's thread.

This is going to be awesome. I can't wait.

Even though it's just a thread I started, it feels like I started a small cult in that thread instead.

They had their usual screening in Chicago this past weekend. No major complaints so far.

I LOL'ed. And agreed. Can't wait for Deathly Hallows, and the segment with the "flashback"/memories of ****** at the end.

Same here. Apparently they have added to this part, a significant departure from every single film in the series. They could make that part a whole hour in itself.
Movie is apparently only two hours long. That sounds like a lot of missing parts, or mere flashes instead of fleshed out scenes.

Re: Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2

^well they already had a movie with about 2 hours of the book.....and I think the first part of the movie covered more of the book...

While this last part is more of the end of the second act and the Big Final...I have high hopes this film is the best...but that might be hard since I really have enjoyed the last 2 films a lot.

I walked out of Part one, wanting to walk right into Part two. I will be glad to finally see the ending of this saga. It's been a long time coming, and the wait is almost over.
