    The Fantastical Worlds of Tim Burton

    In conjunction with LACMA's exhibition, the Film Department will present a retrospective of Tim Burton's films, from days in Disney's animation department up to his latest blockbuster. A major commercial director whose work always bears the inedible stamp of his distinctive style—a potent mélange of dark whimsy, fairy tale form and wondrous design—Burton stands apart.

    Commissioned by Disney while Burton apprenticed in the studio's animation department, this expressionistic stop-motion short about a suburban boy with a macabre fascination for Vincent Price is narrated, in verse, by Price himself.
