Just days after being called out for dissing actress January Jones for her performance in X-Men: First Class, the news breaks that Damon Lindelof, co-creator of Lost and general geek magnate, has pitched a mysterious, original idea known only as "1952" to Disney execs. Sounds like he landed himself a tidy sum of money with this deal, too.

Personally, I'm very intrigued. I know I'm in the minority for liking Lost, finale and all, so maybe others out there won't be so pleased to hear the news. But what I like most is that Disney is commiting a lot of money to an original concept, not something deriving from existing properties and franchises. And it sounds massive, with multi-tiered media tie-ins.
