    Exclamation Family Guy LIVE!

I just got an e-mail from FOX...

Basically, the cast of the show will be performing a live reading of a classic episode, have a Q & A, present a special live performance from the "Family Guy Live In Las Vegas" Album, and a sneak peak at some of the new episodes. Sounds like fun!

Tickets are around $53.00 - $68.50. There will be two performances, one in L.A. and one in New York.

Sign up for the fan club and you can get access to the tickets before the general public does...

That'd be fantastic. Especially if Adam West were there...

am I one of the only people who never watched this show regularly, and the short bit I did see I thought was vapid, annoying, crude and obnoxious and I have zero interest in seeing it again?

I hated it when it first came out. Thought it was terrible. Didn't watch anyhting after the pilot until it was canceled...then canceled again. But when it hit Cartoon Network, I started watching it, and I discovered it's genius. It takes a little while to get it, and the first season had some major flaws. But once you get what they are going for, it's bloody brilliant. The writers are masters at 2 things...1) pulling out the greatest pop culture references, references that almost everyone gets, but no one would ever think to use, and 2) coming out of left field with something so bizarre or so outrageously crude that it just leaves you speechless. They break every mold, they cross every line.

I can understand how someone might think it's an unintelligent show, I was once in that camp myself. There are many single episodes that would leave someone with that impression. But once you start seeing the whole picture, you see just how intelligent it is.

I am reminded of a line from a favorite John Carpenter film of mine:
"You were not put on this Earth to 'get it', Mr. Burton."
"The old man's gonna knock on the sky. Listen to the sound."

I hated the show when i first saw it. Then I decided to buy the DVD set and give it another chance. I probably didn't laugh until the fourth episode. Then they started showing it on Adult Swim and I absolutely loved it. I have seen every episode now and I'm so excited about it coming back in May.

Well, put. I'd say that sums it up nicely.
