    New Walt Disney Treasures DVD's...(merged)

The latest catalog from Disney Shopping has four new tin boxed Disney Treasures. There is no release date given. They are all 2-disc sets. One is of great interest to old fans of a certain serial that was done on the Original Mickey Mouse Club. Finally.

    1. The Chronological Donald Vol 2
    2. Elfago Baca: The Swamp Fox
    3. The Adventures of Spin and Marty

    4. Disney Rarities Vol 2.

Spin and Marty - finally made it. I loved this serial on the old Mickey Mouse Club. It doesn't say if both serials are on the discs or only the first one. My guess is only the first one.

Re: New Disney Catalog has new DVD's

I ordered all of them on Amazon about a month ago. Can't wait to get them! I'm very excited about the Rarities collection--it'll include all the silent Alice comedies. Incredible history there.

Thanks for the heads up that these are available for pre order on Amazon. They are cheaper there as well. But, they are not available till December 6th so I will go back when I am sure there is money in the bank, or maybe I will find them cheaper at Best Buy on the 6th. Who knows.

    New Walt Disney Treasures...

A new wave of Walt Disney Treasures was released today...

The four this time are as follows:

    Disney Rarities: Celibrated Shorts 1920-1960's
The Adventures of Spin & Marty
Elfago Baca and The Swamp Fox
    Chronological Donald 42-46

    -----

The jewel of this release is the Disney Rarities if you ask me...

I still would like to see the Motor Vehicle Film Disney produced released in a treasures set... Which includes Walt's "Chicken Little" (yes, the better one...) Paul Bunyon, Alice's Wonderland series, Ferdnand, Lambert and The Reluctant Dragon... among others...

I am hoping that they do a later Disneyland one, with the specials that opened Space Mountain (featuring the Osmond Brothers w/ Donny) and Hauted Mansion and POTC... I would like to see 70's MMC one as well... But that is just for the record...

I'm really looking forward to the Disney Rarities set.
Those are the treasures I love the best, the ones that deal more with the historical aspect, like the Wartime set.

    Re: Walt Disney Treasures...

I preordered all four on Amazon weeks ago . . . should be here any day now.

I agree . . . Rarities is the jewel of the bunch.

Would love to see a release of It's Tough to Be a Bird, a classic (and Oscar-winning) Ward Kimball short from the late '60's. Anyone remember it?

    Re: Walt Disney Treasures...

I decided tommorrow I'm going to watch the Rarities first. I opened it and gave it a look over and can't believe what is on there. The short Ferdinand the Bull for example.
Should be a nice day off.
