Well ok I am... But I don't think age as so much to do with it as just the story line is not appealing. If I was 20 years old the story line still would not appeal to me, not because of an age thing just a personal opinion.

Are you saying an older actor can't play "sexy?" I beg to differ... I can think of older actors that can still play to sex appeal. In this case Disney isn't playing to sex appeal, they are playing to raging hormones and yes, there is a difference.
As to "am I calling you old" I was merely stating that 90% of the people my age have never seen any old Lone Ranger works, or in the case of John Carter, we haven't even heard of it. As for someone older playing to sex appeal, while yes Johnny Depp has plenty of sex appeal for women, more girls teenagers won't find him as hot as whoever the heck that guy is in John Carter. And as for us that are younger liking the Lone Ranger story more as it is, was aimed at that we don't know anything to compare it too, the Johnny Depp movie would be our introduction to the characters.

    Am I making sense?

    Bingo.

It's true that trailers can lie. But whether or not the JC trailer is telling the truth about the final JC film, its sensibility is so obvious that it may as well have had a disclaimer at the beginning:

"This Movie Has Been Modified From Its Original Vision:
It Has Been Dumbed Down For Our Target Demographic."
