Why is that?

I want to blame theme parks for this, because there were several times during the 3D Movie Boom of last year I kept getting ask "Will I get wet when I watch this movie?" But if you go into the history of 3D films, the cheap tricks were done during the old Red-Blue days of its first introduction. And that was before they installed electrodes into the seat backs for some 3D horror film that would, literally, shock the audience during certain scenes.
