I love this movie!!! Jim Carey annoys me...but he's actually not so bad in this.

This weekend... for SURE... Million Dollar Baby, Hotel Rwanda and maybe *SIGH* The Aviator.

I'm sure that that will round out my movie watching in this area. As I will have to travel to Sacramento to see kinsey

Wow. I think the question would be, what's NOT in my neflix Queue.

    Alias: Season 3 - Disc 2
    Garden State
    Mulan 2
    Wimbledon
    Alien Vs. Predator
    Friday night Lights
    Raise your Voice
    Taxi
    I Heart Huckabees
    Saw
    Spongebob Squarepants: The Movie
    The Motorcycle Diaries
    Ladder 49
    Shaun of the Dead

Right now at home we have:

    Sharks Tale
    The Notebook

Just watched King Arthur today and thought it was EXCELLENT. Don't know why it got such bad press.

The Notebook... oh man... that movie made me cry like crazy. I'm telling you, if I ever want to know if my tear ducts are still working, I'll watch the movie.

How was Ray? I have not yet watched the copy I purchased.

I work for Blockbuster Video, so netflix is the enemy! Anyway, I see most movies a few weeks before they are released on DVD. One of the perks of working at a major video retailer I suppose...

    Good Movies
Saw (if you like gory, morbid, and disturbing images)
The Notebook (Surprisingly entertaining for an uber-chickflick)
Ray (Just an all around great film)
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (BEST Special Effects of the year hands down, so much style and nostalgic images. If you haven't rented it... DO IT!)

    Bad Movies
The Grudge (Sarah Michelle Gellar in Japan and a kid that screams like a cat?)
Cellular (How many unbelievable plot points can a film have? And what's with the unnecesary car chases?)
Open Water (Don't even get me started)

I'm sure we'll be getting our copies of The Incredibles within a few weeks despite the fact that the film won't be released for close to a month from now. I'll let you know how the Jack Jack short is!

And remember... IT'S THE END OF LATE FEES AT BLOCKBUSTER!!!! *commercial done*

For me, I've found that the Blockbuster online (the DVDs sent to your home) has a much faster turnaround then Netflix. So, I'm in the process of switching over. Out of the 300+ movies I had moved over from my queue, Blockbuster didn't have 10.

I used to work at a video / music store WAAAAAAAY back in the day and we got screeners. They had the "Do not reproduce...blah blah" at the bottom or the "Property of (name of studio)" throughout the film.

VERY Good. While I haven't seen the other actors nominated for Best Actor I can't imagine that anybody did a better job than Jamie Foxx. Although I hear both Leo and Don Cheadle (One of the most UNDER-rated actors today, IMO) are both very good as well.

Yeah, but if you read the fine-print on their website is says that if you do not return the movie within 7 days they will charge your credit card for the full amount of the movie.

Aha... but if you read even more of the fine print, you'll notice that you have 30 days to return the video been charged for a full refund minus a restocking fee... (about $1.25) So essentially you ould rent a video for 37 days and only be charged a buck 25, although keeping a movie out that long is just ridiculous!

So essentially, you really DO get a late fee of $1.25. I kinda figured there was such a catch.

LOL, some people will never be pleased After a movie is sold to you, it's completely gone from our system. When you return, we have to print out new covers, redo inventory, etc. etc. That costs money. BUT IT'S A $1.25 for 37 days! Imagine how much that would be under the old policy... A new release is $4.30 every 2 days! That's almost $80! You pick what you want... And if all that is too much, just bring the movie back on time! Or do the online deal

I'll stick with bringing it back on time, thanks. If I were to keep something late, it would only be a day or two (like if I didn't get a chance to watch it in time), so the drop in the late fee really wouldn't be something that would make me go out of my way to rent from Blockbuster. But that's just my humble opinion.
