Grumpy...I agree with you. Wilson Pickett made a lot of great music...much more than the one or two songs you'll typically hear on K-EARTH in LA or most so-called "oldies" stations.
Here in just the first few days of the year we'll lost him and Lou Rawls , too - two of the musical greats of the 20th Century.
If you took all the talent from all the seasons of "American Idol", it altogether might measure up to about 1/1000th of the talent possessed by these two men.
