meh. He was cute when I was in elementary school and we used to watch films (yes films, on a film projector... "can i run the projector today teacher?!") of the Curious one. A feature film version? No thanks.

Re: How curious are you about Curious George?

For the curious, here's a trade review:
    Curious George
    By Michael Rechtshaffen

Bottom line: The beloved monkey's feature debut is warm, bright and colorful if a bit on the mild side.

Margret and H.A. Rey's mischievous monkey (he's technically a chimp, but why quibble with 65 years of tradition?), makes his long-threatened leap to the big screen in "Curious George," with much of the books' charm respectfully intact.

That is good news for those left a little concerned by Universal and Imagine's rather shrill and soulless take on Dr. Seuss' "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!" Here, H.A. Rey's lovely artwork has been preserved in gentle 2-D animation in lieu of being morphed into some kind of CGI-freak show.

The curious thing about "George," though, is that it might have erred on the side of being a little too benign.

Yeah... I was excited until I found out it was a cartoon. Forget it, man.
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Aw.. but it should be pretty good! I got to tour the studio back in August when Project Firefly was working on it and it looked really cool. Curious George looks like Tarzan swinging from those trees (and not just because Tarzan animators worked on the film) but it looks like a great film. I can't wait to see it all come together.

NOBODY looks JUST LIKE Tarzan. I mean really. Who surfs the moss like that?

I meant in his movements, etc. Tarzan was a person and George is a monkey. They aren't going to look a like and I didn't say that. I did say that they sure move a lot alike. Does that make sense?

It looks cute. I remember reading the books when I was a kid. If I see it though it'll be on DVD.
