Two high-end steakhouses will be opening in the Disneyland resort area, paving the way for a more diverse restaurant scene in one of the most popular convention and tourist destinations in the country.
Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, which received city approval for its design this week, is set to open near the new Courtyard by Marriott hotel in October with construction beginning in June. Morton's Steakhouse, located on the new Sheraton Park Hotel property, is scheduled to debut this winter.
These restaurants are part of a revitalization of the resort area along Harbor Boulevard that includes two new hotels and a major hotel renovation. The 252-room Doubletree Hotel will open in mid-March, and the 150-room Courtyard by Marriott is set to open in the spring.
In addition, the Sheraton Park Hotel, formerly the Coast Anaheim Hotel, is undergoing a $32-million renovation and is scheduled to open in the spring with two new restaurants.
