Not sure if this is the case for GOF, but that's the way Batman Begins, Chocolate factory & Walk the Line have been (just naming three that I've picked up in the last few months).

Looks to be the special edition, retailing for $30.97.

Costco might bring the price down, should WalMart or other stores drop their prices.

Looks like Costco is the cheapest for the special edition:

A few days ago I watched all the interviews on PofA and someone mentioned that to be faithful to the book the film would have had to run 16 hours.

I'm looking forward to the extras on GoF and seeing the film again.

What would be really nice is if they provided a 16-hour Director's/Writer's/Author's cut.

Or at least re-release these with the deleted scenes actually in the film, as opposed to plopping them together at the end. I was thinking they should do this once all seven are out. Rerelease them as a set with the deleted scenes included within the body of each film.
