Sopranos...about time this sophomoric crap is over.

Ugh, maybe it was just me, but watching Tony in the ER just brought back bad memories. Also, this symbolism (hidden songs, party, beacon of light) was just such high school film class. It was cute for 20 minutes, than it just became a long groaner. Now Tony's speeding back into recovery, and next episode looks like a lot of fun.

Must you play with my heart HBO.

I know I'm going to be very much in the minority here...but I've tried several times to watch the Sopranos...and I just can't get past all the vulgarity and foul language...with an f bomb in practically every sentence.

I know it is HBO...I have HBO.

I'm not a prude...although I guess I am more of one than I'd care to admit.

And I do swear myself from time to time. I can take it on tv...from time to time. Just not every other sentence.

Thank you for this chance to vent...

    Barry

I also have never watched a full episode of American Idol, so I'm obviously out of touch with today's reality...

Ah HBO...I love HBO, I would die without it. I can't stand the Sopranos but I do enjoy that show "Rome". HBO's also nice if you're bored, always at least one good movie playing...

You and me both Barry, you and me both. (Except I did watch American Idol the first couple of seasons).

I think this thread would be better placed in the Entertainment section...

Hm, I can see where the swearing would get to some. Yes there's a lot, but you learn to tune it out.

The violence is expected, it's about the Mafia, no need to down play it.

The more vulgar aspects are pretty well done. You never see nudity/sex for the sake of it.

Try listening to Opie and Anthony, that'll change your mind real quick ^_^

    Oh and what's American Idol?

I have. And thanks to my DirecTV I've heard their uncensored XM satellite radio show too. I choose not to listen - I've also never understood Howard Stern's popularity - but that's why radios and tv's are made with knobs and presets and remotes...to each, their own...

Indeed. I have Sirius Radio, but I didn't get it to listen to Howard Stern, I got it because we only have maybe 3 radio stations where I live and I like to listen to a LOT of different types of music.

I personally love HBO and most of its shows. I just started watching the Sopranos about 3 months ago on OnDemand and caught up to this season.

While I have really enjoyed the creativity of the last 2 episodes, along with the amazing acting of Edie Falco, I am glad that Tony will be 'back' next week.

Rome is also great and I can't wait for it to come back next year!

I don't swear. Ever. Especially the f word. But I LOVE the Sopranos! I guess I just enjoy watching a piece of society, even if it is fiction, that is so different from my lifestyle. I also love Deadwood and can't wait for that to return.

If some think the Sporanos has vulgarity....wow I am afraid to ask what they think of Deadwood. Which is a awesome show, just if it is not your cup of tea, I would say do not drink it. Can not wait till June for Deadwood. In the mean time we get new sporanos episodes. Yes!
