Disney Employee Accused Of Having Child Porn On Computer
A 20-year-old Disney employee was arrested on charges of possessing child pornography after he apparently left the images visible on his computer screen and his roommates noticed them, according to a police report.

Investigators said Theodore Wendin, who is in the Walt Disney World College Program, left a computer running on his bed at his home located at 1675 E. Buena Vista Drive.

Is anyone bothered by the fact that they gave the guy's friggin' ADDRESS?

It's innocent until proven guilty, the last time I checked.

Nevertheless, I think revealing the address...particularly in the case of a sick crime like this . . . only punishes and humiliates the innocent parties that live there.

I don't think it humiliates them. The article did say that it was them who alerted Disney management. If anything, I think it shines them in a good light. Besides, the only people who know who lives at that address would have already known who Wendin's roomates were anyway.

Publishing the address really doesn't matter too much IMO -- It's all public info anyway -- If someone wanted to find out all they would have to do is a little digging.

ok, i'm going semi-OT, but following the line of thought anyway:

i don't like newspapers giving out addresses either. there was a fire at my gma's house last year & they published her address. you'd be surprised how many people came by trying to sell her this or that service. of course, people who were really determined could get that info, but making personal information so readily available in this day & age is scary!

back on topic, i'm glad his roommates reported it & didn't try to let it go.

Yes but that wouldn't stop people from dropping by and making fun of them.

In cases of sexual offenses, this is becoming more and more commonplace. I don't agree with the practice for people who have been accused since there is a chance they could be innocent. However, most states mandate that sex offenders must register which makes their name and address oublic information anyways.

I guess it doesn't really bother me. Lesson learned- don't look at porn when your roomies could walk in on you.

I have no problem with publishing the addresses of people who are convicted of molesting others.

I'm mixed on this one because with kiddie porn JPEGs nothing is proven other than a sick mind, and the victimizing occurs when someone takes the pictures, not when someone views them.

So, I can't really answer any proper way.
