No Doubt returns to the studio!

Taken from this LiveJournal community, which reportedly pulled it off the official No Doubt website (which, at the time of posting, is currently down):

the band reconvened recently in an LA studio to write new material for the next no doubt album. "we're just getting back in the zone again... it's been a while since we've played together," explained tony. "it was incredibly fun & exciting. we're going to jam a few more times over the next few months & record everything & then see what rises to the top from these ideas." check back here for more recording updates and photos from the studio.

She only did one album that I thought ROCKED! I enjoyed it, even saw her in concert last October at the Hollywood Bowl and she put on a great show. But I love her more together with No Doubt so I'm definetly happy if this is true. But Gwen's like 6 or 7mths pregnant so I'm guessing they'll have to take another break if they're in the studio NOW for her maternity leave. I'm just hoping she does continue with music after she has her child. She always said that she might retire from the music industry after she has a baby. Let's hope it won't be true.

Gwen won't retire after she pops out the baby. She'll have too much stuff to write, and subsequently sing about.

Gwen is due in June, and I think comparing her solo album to No Doubt isn't fair. They aren't the same, and they aren't comparable musicly. No Doubt is totally different then the album Gwen released.

L.A.M.B. is really a kaleidoscope of pop music. It's catchy, its danceable and if the sun is shining and you already in a good mood it can be very awesome music to listen to. It is however not No Doubt.

If Gwen released a solo album of her own music that she totally wrote and was her doing her own thing we'd get totally different music, lyrics and sound.

I'm really excited to see what direction this constantly evolving group goes. They've really changed over the years and I love watching them grow. I hope they are able to record some good stuff before Gwen is due in a few months, maybe they could record enough to release an album, and then after Gwen goes maternal for a bit they could tour, No Doubt, not just Gwen. If anyone else has been to a No Doubt concert they know what I'm talking about.

Gwen can manage an audience on her own pretty well, but put Tom, Tony and Adrien (gabriel and stephen too) on stage and its a freaking sweet show.
