Thumbs up Big Ups to Disney

Yeah most of the music Disney is promoting these days is not that good but there are some really bright spots.

For example two obscure Oldies have been covered for movie osundtracks lately. For chicken Little, The Cheetah Girls covered "Shake A Tail Feather", originally recorded by the Five Du-Tones back in '63.

And just the other day I was flipping around and stumbled on the Disney channel. Apparently some girl was singing "Wild One" which is on "The Wild" soundtrack. The song was recorded originally by Jerry Lee Lewis (differant from the big hit with the same title by Bobby Rydell)

I will play both originals on my next radio show, which will be Sunday evening.

You're referring to the song 'Real Wild Child'. That song was recorded by Everlife for 'The Wild'. It's pretty common to have songs re-recorded for soundtracks (hint: it's much cheaper).

I understand that it is cheaper but it seems odd, yet refreashing that they are covering records that these kids have never heard of before, and most of their parents as well.
