NEW YORK - J.K. Rowling, Stephen King and John Irving will read selections from their own works during two benefit performances at Radio City Music Hall this summer.
It will be Rowling’s first visit to the U.S. since 2000. The Harry Potter creator is a resident of Edinburgh, Scotland.
“Stephen pretended to be in suspense about my answer, but frankly, this was easily one of the most enticing propositions ever put to me in an envelope,” Rowling said in a statement.
Tickets go on sale Friday.
The benefit performances are being sponsored by Scholastic and Simon & Schuster/CBS Corp.
