I only saw it one time on tv in the early 90's. I saw it at Target on dvd for about $10, I'll probably buy it next week.

Why is the (Flight of the Navigator) added to the title. I left it out on purpose.

This movie has inspired me almost more than any other when I was a child. I would say a day doesn't go by where I don't think and marvel about this film. The timing of your post couldn't have been more perfect I was actually researching this film this morning and looking to see what ever became of David played by Joey Cramer. He went on to do one more film and disappeared.

As a screenwriter my creative juices have been thinking a lot about a sequel, remake or revisit of this movie expanding upon new veins and approachs. Didn't ever wonder where Max's world was? Who were his people? Are the robots?
This film will celebrate its 20th anniversery in 2006 and it still holds up. Even the digital effects and interior design of the ship haven't been matched in that many sci-fi films or shows since then. Should Disney reopen this to franchise or tv movies or shows?

That movie was so great! I had forgotten all about it till now. It's probably very dated (like the Last Starfighter) but still such a great story!

awww this was one of those movies that I watched a few times as a kid (on TV) so cheesey but I loved it. My bro bought the DVD when it came out a few weeks ago, and I've been meaning to watch it.

Pee Wee Herman did the voice of "the Navigator" a robotic alien that flew the living ship. Also time travel. It was a very well done movie and I remember it well. It holds up very well, and has a great family story.

Definitely one of my favorites. A lot like Goonies, it sends me straight back to childhood every time I see it. All time classic!!!

I love Flight of the Navigator! Funny that I always forget that it was a Disney release though. I saw it again for the first time in YEARS about a month ago and I loved it every bit as much as I did back in the day. It holds up extremely well. We need to see more love for this movie!

This and The Cat From Outer Space are about on the same goofy level to me.. Not to say they're bad, just not anything I ever really got into, like The Neverending Story. That kid's whining made me want to jump into the film a forcibly jam a spine in his back, since he seemed to have lost his...
