Re: TEACHERS! See 'Akeelah And The Bee' F-R-E-E
It's kinda off-topic, but "Akeelah" (Keke) the star of the show used to take lessons at the music school where I work. She is a very nice person and is very respectful! I'm glad to see her get her big debut!
Re: TEACHERS! See 'Akeelah And The Bee' F-R-E-E
Now if we only had an AMC theatre in this town! By the time I drive an hour and half due north to the closest one, I would have spent enough cash on gasoline that it wouldn't matter.
Oy.
We have Carmike theatres and Cinemark and one, teeny-tiny independent theatre.
Peace,
Roo
Re: TEACHERS! See 'Akeelah And The Bee' F-R-E-E
Is this a second promotion? I was trying to find a source for it and all sources are saying this was on the 12-14. Just trying to find the source of the official release for the people I work with.
Strike that... found the answer. This is the second promotion.
Re: TEACHERS! See 'Akeelah And The Bee' F-R-E-E
I would have loved to have done this ... but in checking all my AMC theaters that are even remotely close to me, the film will not be playing at any of them come May 19. Nice offer but no theater to see it in!
Re: TEACHERS! See 'Akeelah And The Bee' F-R-E-E
Bumping this... wondering if anyone saw this movie? I saw a screening last night. Was wondering what everyone thought. Didn't see a thread on this.
I cried.
Re: TEACHERS! See 'Akeelah And The Bee' F-R-E-E
Haven't seen it... friend of mine that works at Starbucks thought it was a cute movie -- she said it was destined to be a Lifetime movie.
People at my work, though... they all loved it. Couldn't stop talking about how great it was.
Re: TEACHERS! See 'Akeelah And The Bee' F-R-E-E
Oh it was better than a Lifetime movie, for sure!
