yes, I like House though it is still a bit weird that Hugh Laurie is this role. I'm used to him in a more ditzy english role (Black Adder series comes to mind)
I do!
I have no way of verifying it, but apprently the director, after watching Laurie's audition tape, commented that we was a great example of an American actor.Originally Posted by AlexLoup
Ah...the only thing I ever saw Hugh Laurie in was that Stuart Little movie where he doesn't look anything like House. But I love this show and I especially love the character of House. I really enjoy that you don't have to watch every show to know what is going on throughout the season. Each episode is different from the last so you aren't completely clueless when you watch it for the first time.
Woah. I didn't realize that was him in Stuart Little.
I never miss an episode of the show! Love it. It took me awhile to realize he was the Dad in Stuart Little. He was also one of the ditzy crooks that worked for Cruella DeVille (sorry if I've misspelled that) in the live action version of 101 Dalmatians. He has been a guest on Regis and Kelly and it always throws me to hear him speaking in his British accent. Which goes to show how good he is as American Dr. House.
Tonight's episode was especially gross with that patient's swollen tongue, the eye popping out and the knife slicing him up at the end. Yuck. I can usually watch this kind of stuff but I had to close my eyes at the slicing part. The ending was truly great; all in his mind in a matter of minutes.
We really like "House." His hard-bitten, cynical attitude can get a little wearing now and again, but it's an intelligent and very watchable show.
Hugh Laurie fans: find some episodes of "Jeeves & Wooster". Set in the early 30's, it features Laurie as a British upper-class twit who is always getting into jams and Stephen Fry as his butler who always saves the day. Very funny stuff.
Tonight's episode of "House" was interesting and different but the "it was really all a dream" thing was a little disappointing.
"Yesterday, a man walked up to me and said, 'Isn't it a shame that Walt Disney couldn't be here to see this?' and I said, "He did see this, that's why it's here."

When you wish upon a star your dreams come true.
I was actually fearing that it wasn't a dream and that we'd be sent on some sort of wierd tangent.
I love this show! I got my husband hooked on it when he watched the episode with the teenager who was the "faith healer". I love that they are playing it all through the summer!
I love the show. Never miss it. Last nights was a bit gross, but very good

I don't religiously watch the show, but whenever I catch it I thoroughly enjoy it.
Agreed....he does get a bit annoying with his sharp edge...but I think without it, the show wouldn't be as clever as it is.Originally Posted by Tom Chaney

Homer: So, which is it? Blue or purple?
Marge: Pink.
Homer: D'oh!
Marge: "If ye test should fail, to a doctor set sail!"
I missed it last night!
I was out of town meeting some other out of town friends in Annapolis.

Just remember without a well written Disney Villain, there would be no point in the Heroes and the Princesses. Have you hugged a Disney Villain today?
House was really entertaining. I loved how house messed with his IV and pulled some made me bust up. And the dude with the swollen tongue. Dude his cherries blew up...or was in just one.. but it was all a dream.. good episode =)
