    Hoodwinked

Has anybody else seen this movie?

I know it was a relative bomb at the box office but we got it from Netflix this past week and the kids ended up watching it 4 times over the weekend. (Kristi and I watched it twice). They loved it so much we ended up going out and buying the DVD on Monday.

I think it was an awesome first outing for the Weinstein Company. It was a little more 'edgy' than most animated movies but the animation was very well done and it was very, very funny.

If you haven't seen it at least rent it. It's a good one.

My kids liked it too. They loved the squirrel. I thought it was clever but I did not like the animation. It didn't even come anywhere close to Pixar. Maybe they should have spent more time or money to improve that part of the film, then I would have given it a better review to friends. But with that said, they did not make the movie for me but for my kids.

I didn't really care for it. It was a cute idea, but it just didn't work for me. I hated the look of the animation, but at least the voice cast put in some really good performances. The voice cast is what made it watchable for me.

Well, best part of Hoodwinked was the music... John Mark Painter did the score, Fleming McWilliams did the vocals in the Scnitzel Song. They're the husband and wife team that makes up one of my fave bands, Fleming & John. And Fleming has some incredible vocals! Not even the duet with William Shatner could mess that beautiful voice up.

I thought it was funny and I'm planning to buy it. It would be a fun way to teach perspective to kids, so it's a business expense! Yeah, that's it!

This was the only movie in all my 30 years that I've ever walked out of. Xzibit showing up as a voice character was just too much.

    Re: Hoodwinked

the movie was hand drawn and then scanned into a computer to do the cgi effect. I was also done in the phillepeans. I think that is why it has a cheaper look because it was made for a fraction of what pixar or disney or fox spend on their annimated films.
