Desert real estate hawked on Main Street at Disneyland! The Golden Horseshoe Revue's original Slue Foot Sue fired after only eight months! Leeching tubes – with real leeches – on display at a turn-of-the-century pharmacy replica!
A multimedia presentation that revealed these and other juicy tidbits about Disneyland's early days was given limited screenings before rapt audiences of Disney fanatics at trade shows and fan clubs during the park's 50th-anniversary year. Now, author and unofficial park historian David Koenig will present the show for a general audience for the first time on Friday at a noon luncheon to benefit the Huntington Beach Friends of the Library.
Admission is $15 per person, and reservations should be made ASAP to 714-842-4481. Koenig will donate to the group half the proceeds from the sale of the 50th-anniversary limited edition of "Mouse Tales: A Behind-the-Ears Look at Disneyland."
