Re: Tinker Bell Speaks - 6/8/06

    NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would be totally heartbroken if Tink talked. Even in the real people version of Peter Pan she didn't talk! She made a few more whimpering and such noises and it was great!

I think they will ruin Tink forever! Let's get Margaret Kerry in on this! (she was the live model for Tink)

I really think that it would be horrible. I have read he books and found that I picture Tink as tink and making words but somehow I just think I can translate fairy talk! LOL

    This really stinks!

Apparently, Tink already has a voice...at least according to some merchandise I found by googling.

    Interesting.

....... Wow. While I enjoyed the book, do they need to make EVERYTHING into a movie? What happened to little kids reading and imagining things for themselves? It is is even remotly popular...LET'S make a Movie! *sigh* Part of Tink's charm is that she DOESN'T speak. Really...I'm more and more disapointed every year by what is coming out of the studios. All these direct to video movies...most of which are way below the quality I knew from Disney when I was a kid....$$$$$$$$ *shakes head*

Well, I looked up that link to Brittany Murphy's work on imdb & there was nothing on there about a Disney movie. That kind of thing usually gets on the database as soon as they sign on. So that looks doubtful.

I don't know about this. Maybe because it's the "Disney Fairies" version of Tink it seems different. If it's the regular Tink speaking, it would be weird. It's like there are 2 versions of the same character, which I'm not sure is a good thing either.

no no i can not believe this! why would they? she had no vioce from the begin when Peter Pan came out, now in 2007 they're going to give her a voice! i think we shouldn't mess around with characters from the past and mess with the characters that are in the making for new movies

I honestly think Disney is becoming too modern. I realize in order to keep DL and WDW a magical place...they need to modernize but to mess with a classic character like Tinker Bell takes that magic away and possibly her spunkiness of her character and how she's always had to use her body language to express her feelings to the world

This is like giving Gromit a voice...and a mouth, for that matter. He's a good example of how much animation can communicate without either—with only facial expression and body language. But I don't think DCP is interested in creative, quality animation—just selling more product.
