    Lego Star Wars Game...Soooooo Awesome!

Here is proof that advertising sells.

One day, I was at the grocery store with my mom. We noticed an ad on the back of a Disney Adventure Magazine, you know, the little ones at the check stand. The ad was for the Lego Star Wards Game. It was advertised as "E for Everyone" and has version for most gaming systems.

With a young son in the house who was about to have a birthday and has only recently started to show a serious interest in video games, I knew this would be the perfect birthday present. I thought it would be appropriate for one or both of my Lego/Star Wars obsessed brothers to get the game for Brian for his birthday.

The Toysrus my brothers went shopping at did not have the game in stock. (The salesperson tried to suggest the XBox version, only to have my brother point out that he would have to buy an XBox system for him too). I got the news that they could not find the game as I was making my final mad dash to Toysrus this morning.

Nathan popped the game into the PS2 as soon as we got home from Chuck E. Cheese. He and Brian instantly fell in love with the game. It is soooo totally awesome! When a character is killed, it falls into lego pieces. In order to move to a different area of a level, you have to use Jedi powers to build a platform from which to jump. Even the flowers are Lego flowers!

Now Nathan is itching to get the Gameboy version of the game. This is the first video game we have found that more than one of us likes to play.

Yep, this is the first game in which the game store clerk was spot on. My son and his friend had pooled their money and asked me to drive them to the game store to buy it; when we got there they were a few dollars short and I told them I wasn't going to help buy them this expensive game when there were plenty of other games around the store that they could afford so while they were dejectedly looking for a different game I talked to the clerk. He assured me this wasn't going to be some game in which they would play for one afternoon then tire of it.............he was right; they have been playing it every day for the last week and a half and with the extra incentive of wanting to play it asap after school I have not had any trouble getting my son to do his homework

OMG....I love that game. I am a Star Wars fan, and a LEGO fan, and a videogame fan, and then they put the three things together and I was beside myself when I saw it. It is so much fun too!

I've seen videos of this. Everything appears to be made of Lego blocks and some of the most dramatic or heartwrenching Star Wars moments are turned into hysterical comedy sequences performed by Lego blocks. Play it enough and you can play as a Lego version of just about every Star Wars character that ever existed, even defenseless droids (rather pointless, no?)

I'll go find this. I guess my PlayStation will finally have something to do again.

SusieP, once our little ones get into it, we will have to have to get them together to play the game.

Oh. I was thinking that WE should get together to play, no kids, and a bottle of wine... It's mean to hog the PlayStation though, isn't it?

Wish they released it on PSP. I have too many other games that I haven't played on xbox/ps2 so I think I'll wait til it's cheaper. Thanks for all the reviews and info tho.

Nathan has a question for you Lego Star Wars fans, if in fact anyone has it for Gameboy Advance:

Has anyone found all the Death Star plans from Mustafar?
