The soundtrack sucks! 12 songs plus Bonus Track by Tsieto? Who the hades is Tsieto and why is s/he destroying Hans Zimmer's main title from POTC:COTHBP?
Please let the movie be better than the soundtrack!

What did you not like about the soundtrack (other than the dance remix)?
Like, specifically?
After all, looking back on the first soundtrack, it was TERRIBLE in terms of length and how they ordered the tracks.
Overall, I like DMC's soundtrack, and I also realize that the movie is about an hour to an hour and a half longer...
I think the DMC soundtrack just reflects poor choices of what made the soundtrack.
I loved the songs on it though. I like how moody it all is, and I think it is going to accent the movie perfectly.
it sounds like an evolved version of the first movie....it's good...it's different, yet similar. I enjoy it. But I won't be able to fully appreciate it until I see the movie.
First of all, I liked it. Second of all, Hans Zimmer did not score the first pirates film, Klaus Bandet did. Why the switch for this movie, since I believe Hans Zimmer was in someway involved with the last one, is a mystery to me.Originally Posted by WatchYourHeadNStep
Either way, I enjoy it by itself, but I really think it's hard to judge a soundtrack until you've seen the movie.
I just hope by bonus track, it means that the Tiesto "He's a Pirate" club mix doesn't make it into the movie in any fashion.
The sort of music just isn't what I enjoy, but even objectively, for a club/dance mix, it takes FAR too long to actually start sounding like "He's a Pirate".
Such is Techno....
I listened to the soundtrack on Wednesday and thought Hans Zimmer was on crack. Now that I've seen the movie, though, the music works - yes, even the circus music enhances the film. Thankfully the bonus techno track didn't get anywhere near the movie. I hate that track. It is such a waste of CD space.
