The Black Pearl is in Town!

Hi everyone! I havent posted much before (actually think I only have posted once), but this news excited me so I thought I would share. I hope I am not repeating any previous posts!

I live in San Pedro, at the Air Force Base here. When I look out towards LA Harbor from base.. I can see the BLACK PEARL!

Apparently it is here while the set dressers are working on it. I dont believe you can get too close to it, no public access to that berth, but you can see it clearly from the Air Force Base (FT Mac) or from Cabrillo Beach.

I am going to try to get closer this weekend. But here is a photo that we took last night.

Hope you all enjoy. If I can get closer pictures I will post them later!

Sorry that picture turned out so big. I tried to resize it. I guess I need a lesson in photobucket!

Yes, thanks very much for posting! It's so weird to see the black pearl in a modern day setting.. haha... The flying dutchman was a real ship? I thought it was all CGI.

Awesome photo. Thanks so much for sharing. I live near Long Beach but I don't think I'm going to have a chance to get down to the San Pedro area to see it. Rats.

Yes! I saw it, I had my dad drive me to the Vincent Thomas Bridge and you can see it from there kind of, I forgot where we were but I also got a better view. I never have my camera at the right time...

That sounds cool as I plan to come down and stay for awhile in August anyway, if the eye surgery doesn't happen at the same time. I am hoping to have it done ASAP but you never know with schedules. That would be cool to see though and maybe by August I will be able to see again. Fingers Crossed.

Question Re: The Black Pearl is in Town!

    TigletBear,

Can you tell from where you are exactly which berth the Black Pearl sits at? If not, a close guess would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
