I have been so bitter about Arrested Development going off the air I haven't given The Office a chance. I dunno, people keep telling me to watch it. i guess I'm thinking nothing will be funnier than my wonderful AD. *sigh*

The Office is probably me and my husband's favorite show. We downloaded Seasons 1 and 2 from iTunes and I swear they are funnier every time you watch it. I highly recommend it!!

The Office is GREAT. I have been watching it since the beginning, and even the original on BBC.

If you like the Office do yourself a favor and rent the BBC version, it's just as great if not better.

    Re: The office

The Office is one of my favorite programs. The writing is intellegent, the acting great. I just love the whole premise of a camera crew coming in and doing a documentery and they are supposedly acting normal, but how can you when there is a camera around? Very funny. Dwight is a riot and I love the story line of Jen and Jim. The final episode of this season was so great when he told her he loved her and they finally kissed.

    Re: The office

I'll be surprised and angry if some crappy show like Two and Half Men wins the comedy Emmy.
The Office is hands down the funniest show on TV. And, this is not an opinion. It is a fact. We TiVo every episode, not just the new ones.
Of the nominated series Scrubs is right behind, with Curb Your Enthusiasm a close third. I never watched Arrested Development -- something else was always on (HBO, likely) -- so I'll give it fourth place. 2.5 Men comes in 50th place out of 5.

We can understand the English better in the American version. We have to use the subtitles for the BBC version.
