Are there any Dirty Jobs fans out there?

I wanted to see if there are any Dirty Jobs fans out there. I just love this show. Mike Rowe is a great host. I love to see what Mike is going to do every week. I wish my job was dirty enough to have him come and do it with me. He has really made me appreciate the jobs people do that I never think about that makes my life easier. My hats off to all of them out there doing thier job day in and day out. Thank You!

My DH is obsessed with this show and Mythbusters.

And....ewww....did you see the episode with the old lady who had the toilet explode in her basement? Poor woman...

Yes I did see that one. I must admit she took it better than I would have to. I love Mythbusters too.

I LOVE dirty jobs (seeing as how I've done a lot of really dirty jobs in my life)

Remember the pig farmer in Vegas who recycles food from the Strip? I know that guy quite well. Very nice fella.

I want to get them to go to my dad's work at a hay processing plant. If you spend more than a few hours inside you skin is green for a few days. That's dirty, right.

I love the show, especially the recent episode on geoducks.

I want to see him go to a sugar beet processing plant, and a copper smelter. Those are the two smelliest places I don't think he's dealt with yet.

I agree, great show with an even better host. I love how he is respectful to the guys/gals doing the jobs. It's easy for him to come in and try the job, but they have to live with it, so it's cool that he doesn't bash them. He works with them and demonstrates respect, which is cool

    Love that show

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

Re: Are there any Dirty Jobs fans out there?

It really makes you appreciate what people do out there. I can't imagine doing some of these jobs but I am glad that there are people who enjoy doing them. It makes me appreciate my job now that I can see there are jobs worse than mine. I have seen some really neat jobs too that I wouldn't mind doing either. Mike Rowe is a super host and like Max said he does show all these people respect for what they do. And never bashes them for the jobs they do. I look forward to this every Tuseday next weeks show looks good too. By the way one of my favorite episodes was the coal mine one since I have family who have done this job (and 1 who died doing it). It was nice to see him do that one it made me appreciate and respect the job they did even more. The charcoal plant one was cool too along with the one with the algae.
