Disney's musical version of "Beauty and the Beast" is the 10th annual production put on stage by Anderson School's Little Red Schoolhouse players.

It's impressive to see what the 63 children -- from third through eighth grade -- have accomplished. They've been rehearsing two or three times a day, before and after school and at lunch.

Costumes, props and sets have been created with help from a small army of parents.

At Thursday's final rehearsal, the stage at the Emerson Cultural Center was filled with children belting out "Be Our Guest." They carried elaborate props -- oversize cakes, hams, candles -- as they marched around a full-size set. Several sang from a high balcony.
Disney has just released the licensing rights to the enormously popular musical "Disney's Beauty and the Beast". This means the script and score have been made to high schools and dinner theaters alike all over the world.
