    Shelley Duvall's Faerie Tale Theater

Anyone else watch this in the 80s? I loved it so I bought the box set for the twins.

    how much?

    Snow Queen was my favorite!

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

I remember we played those videos all the time when I worked in a video store back in college.

Oh My GOSH!! Where did you find the DVD set?!! My sister and I loved that show! She's due in November with my niece (the first baby in the family) so that would be a perfect baby shower gift.

    I loved them too!
My favorites were "Cinderella" with Jennifer Beals and Matthew Broderick "The Dancing Princesses" with Lesley Ann Warren and "The Three Little Pigs" with Billy Crystal and Jeff Goldblum.

They were rare and hard to find for a long time. (I remember seeing the old beat-up video cassettes go for 50 bucks or so on ebay) But they finally got put out on DVD recently, i want to say within the past year or two. You should be able to find them on amazon or any other store. The individual DVDs now run for only 7 bucks each!

This was such great television for kids. It's too bad they don't make things like this anymore. I loved it growing up! I found the boxed set at Costco and purchased it for my young niece and nephews so they can grow up with it too. I never did get around to buying myself a copy though. I'll have to get on that!

Re: Shelley Duvall's Faerie Tale Theater

Yay! I was not aware that this has been released on DVD. I had been wondering when it'd come out (everything else has, even things that don't need to be seen again). Thank you for bringing this to our attention!

And yes, if you could not tell, I watched this when I was young. I have an old tape from when my parents would tape it b/c it was so good. I watched my tape recently. ONe of the episodes missing from my tape was Hansel & Gretel. I used to love Ricky Schroder (sp?)! I must buy it, or hint lots to the husband before Christmas. I guess I have time!

Any of you like Tall Tales & Legends? I was never as into that series. Although Annie Oakley was an obsession, so I had to watch that episode. I Think Jamie Lee Curtis played her. I remember thinking she was too old and too tall to be Annie. WAsn't Annie only around 5' tall?

I believe they came out on DVD a few years ago. I bought The Frog Prince with Teri Garr and Robin Williams and Rumplestiltskin. My other favorite was Goldilocks. My brother and I LOVED these growing up!!! I hope to buy the entire set someday.

Shelley Duvall is so cool. I love her as Olive Oyl too!

I did find them on Amazon, Hector! I paid $33 for the set and that included the faster shipping!

Re: Shelley Duvall's Faerie Tale Theater

So I ordered it and an empty box arrived at my neighbor's house. He isn't home so I checked the box and it had my name on it. It was shipped priority mail. The post office stamped it "Received without contents at anaheim, California" Has this ever happened to any of you? What do you do?
