    The History of NASCAR

I don't know about you, but I find it interesting how NASCAR was started. From what I hear, racing became really popular during the alcohol prohibition period in the 20's and 30's by Bootleggers trying to escape authorities. But as time went on, the Bootleggers soon began to race against other bootleggers. People started to attend these races and it became very popular in the south. These races continued on past the end of the prohibition era because the taxes on Whiskey were incredibly high, so they continued to bootleg Whiskey. Since then, 50 years ago, Nascar was created and turned into the business we all know today.

No wonder companies like Budweiser play a huge role in sponsoring NASCAR races.
