Peter Pan in Scarlet is finally released today. I don't have a copy yet, but I'm looking forward to reading it with my youngest. I wonder how long it will be before Fire Flyer and the Great Ravello make their way into Disney Parks.
I don't think Disney has the character rights to the new book, do they?
I haven't read anything about them acquiring rights, but it would seem a natural fit, no? The original story enters the public domain, I think, in 2007, but my understanding of copyright law is that this would not also end the new characters into the public domain. Pan in Scarlet and its characters would still have copyright protection for a long, long time.
