I love Mary Poppins and The Reluctant Dragon (the studio portions with Robert Benchley) but they both contain some animation. Mary is absolutely magical, but I love seeing the inner workings of the studio back in the early days, even if it's a bit dramatized, it's so fun to watch!
For absolutely no animation (titles not included) I'd have to say The Parent Trap or Swiss Family Robinson (originals of course). Such great films!
I also like Pollyana and Hayley Mills' Parent Traps
Good morning, son
In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
It was pain
Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...
